Luxurious Moisturizing at an Affordable Price: Dove Body Wash with Nutrium Moisture™
Posted by: Melissa L // November 16 2009
I have severely dry skin. You know, the type with alligator legs and chalky elbows? Yuck! For this reason, I have become a complete product junkie. I try everything labeled “moisturizing” in search of the one product that will give me relief.
According to Dove's website, Nutrium Moisture™ is a "patent pending breakthrough technology that combines gentle cleansing with skin-identical moisturizers - the kind of moisture skin really needs."
Oh really? I’ve heard those kinds of promises before. I had my suspicions, but I ran out and bought all three formulas—Deep Moisture, Sensitive Skin and Gentle Exfoliating. Each one performs exactly as its name implies: Sensitive Skin is fragrance and soap free that feels very gentle on the skin; Deep Moisture is super rich with a creamy, luxurious lather; and Gentle Exfoliating has great little blue scrubby beads that help slough off dead skin.
Over the past month, I have been rotating them in my shower and I have seen a significant improvement in the moisture and texture of my skin. Now, this change didn’t happen after the first use, although my skin didn’t feel dry or tight. I was pleasantly surprised, but not completely sold yet. But after two weeks of use, my skin began to feel softer and I needed less moisturizing lotion. By the end of the month, I was able to skip the lotion routine on my arms and legs saving me a bit of after-shower time!
Don’t get me wrong. Dove is not a miracle cure-all - I still have to moisturize my hands, feet, knees and elbows. But Dove Body Wash with Nutrium Moisture™ has won a permanent spot in my shower. If you’ve been looking for an effective solution to your dry skin that won’t break the bank, give Dove a chance. Your skin will thank you!
All three formulas are available wherever Dove products are sold, including CVS, Target and Walgreen’s with prices ranging from $4.99-$6.99.
